At Alcyone Systems, we developed all of our patent pending IP and technology base from the bottoms up. We first studied the requirements of the First Responder Market and had extensive interviews with first responders all around the world. The result was an optimized technology that meets or exceeds the expectation of the marketplace.

In fact, our requirement demands a hybrid approach combining the attributes of a wireless sensor network topology for the body area network, a wireless Ad-hoc reconfigurable cluster network (with out the dependency on fixed access points/gateways) , and a long range wireless local area network for communication between clusters and the Incident Commander outside the building. Our architecture merges these topologies with proprietary optimized algorithms and protocols for the effective fusion of navigation and sensor data as well as a robust intra & inter cluster communications network.
